    1955 FDC First Day Cover - 9th Anniversary of the Republic of the Philippines (1946 - 1955).
    The Republic of the Philippines formally achieved its independence from the U.S. on July 4, 1946.  This FDC was issued to commemorate the 9th anniversary of the country's independence.
    The FDC for sale is discolored due to age.  There are a couple of tears on the lower left side.  Please check the photos closely.
